It was great to hook up with the Vetsure steering committee prior to LVS last week – thanks to @martin-paterson, @paul-walden, @simon-tai-2, @julie-hutton, @benmonumentvets-co-uk and @steve-carter. Some great discussions on the group’s approach to telemedicine and direct to consumer delivery services – more to follow….
It was a great day, it’s a pleasure to realise how proactive VetSure are.

Looking forward to a day with the steering committee today. We are meeting with various accountants and management consultants in the heart of London City to explore ‘Alternative Business Models’ including ways to help staff members buy into the practice, staff ownership models (like John Lewis) and alternative succession planning. Amazing day yesterday. Group heard some very compelling arguments for NOT selling your practice right now. And some great structuring ideas for driving succession from within. Even heard about employee ownership models that have started to appear in the vet world (John Lewis type models). We will be gathering ideas to present back to you ASAP!!!!
