Hi All,
a local practice has started offering culicoides desensitisation therapy ‘Off the shelf’ as a two injection course. Has there been a product launch that I’m unaware of or is this a ‘special’?

has anyone had any problems with gastric ulcers claims ? we have had an insurance co decide the claim is closed as complete resolution noted on re scope – despite having months of time left on claim and being nowhere near vets fees limit. and another where vet Rec ongoing Tx as grade 1 ulcers noted but still symptomatic – but ins co have clause in…[Read more]
Not yet, but thanks for the warning. As you say, clinical notes need to be very carefully worded if this is the case.

A reminder about the Bristol Vet School careers day on Friday 4th Feb 2022. If you’re thinking of taking on a new grad or EMS student next year, please make sure you get job / placement details to me by early Jan. I’ve also made a note to ask about the interview process for new students!

hi all, we’re thinking of buying a new gastroscope so had a snoop around at London vet show but wondered if anyone has any recommendations? I’ve heard of a few issues with certain ones being unreliable and not switching on properly which is not what you want having starved a horse for 16 hours! thanks, Kate
we use Paul Duncan VESCO for scopes. bought a new one recently – make sure you ask re loan scope availability – we now have one with a decent pool of loan scopes- scopes are v temperamental creatures
hi Richard, let me make some enquiries for you and I will get back to you.
