Who routinely does follow up phone calls post op to clients to check how the patient is? Interesting post on FB from my dog walker – this one simple gesture from the practice led to her writing a glowing report about them. Does anyone ask clients to sign payment T&Cs when registering with the practice or when you agree to do pay vet direct insurance claims? I have a practice who would appreciate some guidance with this. Many thanks Sarah
They are not exactly our standard t&c’s , but we get clients to sign a declaration that (amongst other things) they understand that they are liable for the outstanding fees if the ins co won’t pay them and that we are charging them £25 admin fee. Quick question! Do you currently charge an admin fee to process insurance claims? If yes, how much and do you put the same fee on Vetsure claims? A couple of practices I have met with recently are considering introducing a fee and were interested to find out what other practices were doing. Many thanks in advance!

We don’t for processing an insurance claim . We do if it’s a direct claim and charge £18 for this ( direct claim fee waived if vetsure) We only do direct claims for a handful of companies .

Possible break through in Alabama Rot research/treatment – please do have a read especially if any cases present at your practice in the next few months.
