Is anyone about to invest in a new laser therapy machine? One of my practices is looking to purchase the new Class 4 Therapeutic Laser from Celtic SMR https://www.celticsmr.co.uk/products/veterinary/equine/class-4-therapeutic-laser/ we think there might be a deal to be done on the price if more than one is purchased on the same order. We’d love to introduce the latest member of the Vetsure team, Crush, aptly named due to a rather unfortunate accident when he was stepped on by a horse and his shell was broken in several places 🙁 Crush has been fostered by our claims manager Katie. Using her vet nursing skills, Katie has been tube feeding Crush day and night to keep him well fed…[Read more]

Good Morning everyone – can anyone recommend leasing companies for vehicles – specifically vans ? I have a new start up equine practice looking, they are in Norfolk but am sure most companies in this business supply nationally.
this is a request that we quite often get asked. if anybody has any recommendations we are happy to pass them on. thank you in advance.

Have you got a few minutes spare to complete this short survey for RCVS Knowledge. They want to use the feedback to help them shape their services for you in the future http://bit.ly/3zxm3G8

truly shocking news from around the UK about the fires that have caused such devastation – one or two practices I know, have been very close to where the fires have been. In Essex, this from the practice manager
“Yes, it was very close, approximately a 5 minute drive away. There was a family that came in distraught as their house was on fire…[Read more]
that is very sad, thoughts and prayers with those affected

hi all does anyone have experience of running local radio adverts and/ or street side billboards and / or side of bus adverts , to attract new clients – do they work at all ? steve
@steve-carter great feedback from my practice. They think it was a worthwhile campaign that definitely drove visits to their website and client registrations. Some tips:
Need a clear follow up/call to action – digital easier to remember than phone numbers so your website must be in good working order with a clear link for pet owners to register…[Read more]

One of my practices recently joined this inspirational man at the start of his walk from Lands End to John O’Groats. He is doing this to raise awareness and money for The Canmore Trust for suicide prevention and postvention. He lost his son (who was a vet) to suicide.
They would love for members of the profession to join them on sections of their…[Read more]

Our Fuji CR X-ray processor is coming to the end of its life (20 years +!)
can anyone recommend a current CR system that is good quality and reliable ?
any recommendation gratefully received!
Hi Steve, I’ll email you now about a deal we have with a company.
thanks debi
anyone else have any info?
We have DR at the hospital now and I honestly could not recommend it more highly over CR. The time saving is enormous. the price of DR has really come down in the last few years. Time is scarce these days and I think DR is well worth the investment.
thanks martin can I ask what system you have and is it reliable and easy to use ? steve
can send you more details next week but it is from A. Somerville’s.
It has been totally reliable for the last 3 years. The only thing we have had issues with is running out of storage space on the PC they supplied because it is so easy to take multiple images.
it is also compatible with a piece of AI software we have just been trialling for them…[Read more]
