quick question. when speaking with a practice the other day they mentioned that the uptake of cat vaccines in response to reminders being sent out had dropped considerably. has anybody else noticed anything similar? thanks in advance.

Good Morning everyone – can anyone recommend leasing companies for vehicles – specifically vans ? I have a new start up equine practice looking, they are in Norfolk but am sure most companies in this business supply nationally.

truly shocking news from around the UK about the fires that have caused such devastation – one or two practices I know, have been very close to where the fires have been. In Essex, this from the practice manager

We have a new Vetsure Member joining us shortly in the North of England and they asked me today if we knew of any companies that could provide bespoke ‘on hold’ music that could be pet or animal related? They are thinking more along the lines of ‘What’s new Pussycat?’ ‘Hound Dog ‘ etc etc rather than my own suggestion of the Beatle’s Barkers…[Read more]

hi all does anyone have experience of running local radio adverts and/ or street side billboards and / or side of bus adverts , to attract new clients – do they work at all ? steve

Delighted to welcome Blackdown Equine Vets to Platinum! Based in the beautiful town of Kingsbridge, south Devon, the practice is a well established 4 vet team covering Kingsbridge and the surrounding areas. I’m really looking forward to working with Thomas and his team.

One of my practices recently joined this inspirational man at the start of his walk from Lands End to John O’Groats. He is doing this to raise awareness and money for The Canmore Trust for suicide prevention and postvention. He lost his son (who was a vet) to suicide.

Our Fuji CR X-ray processor is coming to the end of its life (20 years +!)
can anyone recommend a current CR system that is good quality and reliable ?

We have DR at the hospital now and I honestly could not recommend it more highly over CR. The time saving is enormous. the price of DR has really come down in the last few years. Time is scarce these days and I think DR is well worth the investment.

It has been totally reliable for the last 3 years. The only thing we have had issues with is running out of storage space on the PC they supplied because it is so easy to take multiple images.
it is also compatible with a piece of AI software we have just been trialling for them…[Read more]
