    Hi everyone,

    We have an update here for all Buysure for Vets members.

    Ceva will be introducing new commercial terms for all their customers with effect from 1st June. These changes impact our Buysure for Vets members only – not our Platinum members, where we have fixed terms in place at this time.

    In a nutshell, Ceva are introducing variable tiered terms on their products. The tier you are placed in will depend on your overall Ceva spend. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to determine your tier as Ceva are treating this information as confidential – only to be discussed with you directly. It is also possible for you to establish a higher tier dependent on your commitment to buy certain Ceva products. As a result, your Ceva rep is likely to be trying to contact you to discuss these tiers. If you do not meet your Ceva rep, you will be automatically put into a tier dependent on your overall spend. Tiers will be reviewed quarterly, at which point, your rebates may increase or decrease dependent on spend. Please do not shoot the messenger…

    There are some exceptions to this – the following products are dedicated in the Platinum group and preferred in the Buysure for Vets group. As a result, regardless of spend, you will automatically be put into the top tier for these products:

    Douxo S3, Libeo, Prilactone and Vetergesic.

    Going forward, the net net net pricelists will have to show ‘average terms’ for all Ceva products (with the exception of those listed above) as we clearly do not know the discount that each member will otherwise receive. Please note that all discounts will continue to be paid retrospectively through Buysure.

    Our preferred suppliers for the Buysure for Vets and Buysure Platinum group are those that can operate simple, transparent fixed discount structures to make it easy for our members to make informed decisions – and for us to check that you are getting all rebates owed. So it goes without saying that these kind of changes are not aligned with our overall group strategy. We have fed this back to Ceva, and to their credit, they have responded by at least fixing the discounts on our preferred products as above. But, if they are unable to make further concessions in the near future, it will certainly impact our willingness to renew existing terms for both the Buysure for Vets and Buysure Platinum groups.

    If you have any queries regarding these changes, please contact your Vetsure Veterinary Relationship Manager. However, please bear in mind that we are being kept somewhat in the dark about the overall tier system, so we will have to direct you to your Ceva rep to answer specific questions on products other than those listed above.
