The Facts!
• Cats must be implanted with a microchip before they reach the age of 20 weeks
• Owner contact details must be stored and kept up to date in an approved microchip database
• Cat owners have until the 10th of June 2024 to get their cat microchipped, after this date, owners could face a fine of up to £500
• An estimated 2.8 million cats in the UK are not microchipped!
