Please see below an email communication from earlier today as a reminder about the Versifel Zoetis FeLV stock situation:

Further to our communication last month, we have been informed that pressure is being exerted on the remaining European stocks of Leucofeligen. As a result of this, we will be running a second round of orders for anyone that may want to partake in securing vaccine supply. A reminder of the situation and how to place an order is detailed below:

There has been a recall of a batch of Versifel FeLV due to an increased frequency of adverse reactions associated with the batch. Zoetis have now identified a potential issue with the adjuvant in the FeLV batch that was recalled. Further investigations are ongoing, but the impact at this stage is that the OOS will last longer than they had hoped. The current (vague) update that we have been given is that the likelihood is that stocks will not return before Sept/Oct/November 2023.

With this in mind, we would encourage you to review your stocks and plan accordingly, sending your order forms and SICs to your Vetsure VRM. We would suggest that you apply for an SIC with a large number of doses (for example, apply for 1000 even if you are only ordering 100 this time) – that way, if you need to make future orders, you do not have to go through this process again. Note that each SIC lasts one year. Your Vetsure VRM should be able to assist you with this process if you are unfamiliar with how it works.

Please ensure your SIC has National Veterinary services as the proposed importer.

The price currently remains the same at:

10 dose packs – £202.90 + VAT

50 dose packs – £1014.80 +VAT (limited supply so once these run out NVS will send 5 x 10 dose instead)

Please note: these prices may be subject to change based on demand and stock availability. Whilst the prices quoted are currently correct, unfortunately we cannot control the future prices.

Please send in your completed order forms and SICs by 6pm Wednesday 12th July, so that NVS can submit an order to our European distributor. Orders will still be taken after this date but will be held on a waiting list until a suitable volume is reached for re-order. Note that we cannot guarantee that we will be able to source the entire amount that you order or the requested pack size but we will do our best!
